Rathbone Investment Management expands access to Rathbone Greenbank Portfolio Range for advisers

Rathbone Investment Management, one of the UK’s leading providers of investment management services for individuals, charities and professional advisers, is pleased to announce the launch of a new range of client propositions, which will invest in the underlying funds in the Rathbone Greenbank Portfolio Range.

19 July 2021
The new propositions are the Greenbank LED MPS, an intermediated execution-only offering for clients with a minimum investment threshold of £15,0001; and Greenbank LED Managed, an intermediated discretionary proposition for those clients with a minimum investment threshold of £150,000.    Both propositions will offer look-through reporting as part of a comprehensive reporting package, including a year-end tax pack to help investors or their accountants complete self-assessment tax returns and reporting on the sustainability characteristics of their investment.     Advisers using the Greenbank LED MPS will also receive telephone and email access to a dedicated UK-based client service team, secure messaging for client communications and trade instructions.   Advisers using the Greenbank LED Managed will have direct access to a dedicated investment manager, who will be responsible for ensuring that investments remain suitable for the client’s individual needs. The investment manager will keep advisers informed of the portfolio’s investment performance and will manage assets whilst being mindful of the tax position.    The new offerings are eligible for tax efficient structures including trusts and settlements, ISAs, SIPPs and offshore bonds.   The Rathbone Greenbank Portfolio Range – which aims to harness the risk-adjusted fund performance record of Rathbones’ multi-asset team, and Greenbank’s two decades of experience in ethical, sustainable and impact research and investment - comprises four new sustainable multi-asset investment funds (Rathbone Greenbank Total Return Portfolio, Rathbone Greenbank Defensive Growth Portfolio, Rathbone Greenbank Strategic Growth Portfolio, and the Rathbone Greenbank Dynamic Growth Portfolio)3, each targeting different levels of risk, and the existing Rathbone Greenbank Global Sustainability Fund2, managed by David Harrison.    Will McIntosh-Whyte is the fund manager for the new multi-asset funds, supported by David Coombs. Research resource is provided for all funds by the Rathbone Greenbank Investments research team, led by Kate Elliot, head of ethical, sustainable and impact (ESI) research, as well as Rathbones’ equity and fixed income analysts.   The multi-asset funds employ the same negative and positive criteria as the Rathbone Global Sustainability Fund for their exposure across equities and corporate bonds4. Additional sustainability criteria apply to other asset classes such as government bonds and structured products.  Greenbank can veto investments which do not meet the funds’ responsible investment policy, ensuring it is applied without bias or influence from the fund managers.   All funds in the range have a strong emphasis on managing financial, and environmental, social and governance (ESG) risk, and focus on investments with robust links to Greenbank’s proprietary sustainability framework, which includes energy and climate, innovation and infrastructure, and health and wellbeing.    Using the same approach as the Rathbone Greenbank Global Sustainability Fund, the multi-asset team, supported by the wider Rathbones stewardship resource, actively undertake stewardship activities such as enhanced voting, engagement and monitoring, on behalf of investors.   Commenting on the launch of the new propositions, Greg Mullins, head of sales at Rathbones, said: “Having launched the Rathbone Greenbank Portfolio Range, this development allows us to offer further propositions and flexibility to our intermediary clients, ensuring that they have access to our multi-asset and ESI expertise within the most appropriate proposition them.”   -Ends-   For further press information, please contact:   Sam Emery/Emma Murphy Quill PR 020 7466 5056/5054 sam@quillpr.com / emma@quillpr.com   Madhu Kalia  PR - Rathbones 020 7399 0256 or 07825 596302 madhu.kalia@rathbones.com   Notes to editors   1New proposition:
